Legendary Hollywood director Rob Reiner and his wife Michele Singer Reiner were found dead inside their Los Angeles home in Brentwood. Authorities are investigating the incident as an apparent homicide.
The Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a medical aid call on December 14, 2025, around 3:30 p.m., and found both 78-year-old Reiner and 68-year-old Michele deceased at the scene.
Law enforcement sources say both bodies showed wounds consistent with stab or knife injuries, and the LAPD’s homicide unit is leading the investigation.
Rob Reiner was a celebrated filmmaker and actor, known for directing classics like The Princess Bride, When Harry Met Sally…, This Is Spinal Tap, and A Few Good Men.
