Jeremy Clarkson’s Three Kids: The Full Story Behind Emily, Finlo and Katya

Published on December 17, 2025 by Liora Crest

Ok, so we all know Jeremy Clarkson as the gobby bloke from Top Gear and that farming show. But what most fans may not know is this: he has three grown-up children who have chosen entirely different careers and gone in different directions. No matching careers here. Just three people going about their business while having one of Britain’s most recognisable faces as their dad.

Emily Clarkson Has Built Her Own Thing

Emily Clarkson is 30 and has made a name for herself talking about body image and mental health. She hosts a podcast called “Should I Delete That?” with her mate Alex Light. They discuss anxiety, self-doubt, and all the stuff people are really nervous about but don’t post about on social media.

She’s the author of two books, has over 480,000 followers on Instagram and doesn’t use her dad’s fame to make it work. Emily married Alex Andrew in 2022, and they have two daughters. Their first daughter, Arlo Rose, was born in February 2023. Then, just a few days ago, in late December 2024, they had their second daughter, Xanthe Fiadh Andrew.

That second pregnancy was brutal. Emily had hyperemesis gravidarum, which is basically like the worst morning sickness that continues forever. She was unable to eat vegetables for nine months. She was unable to even drink water properly.

All the vomiting led to thoracic outlet syndrome, where her neck nerves were compressed, and she couldn’t feel her arms at all. For weeks, she was unable to pick up her toddler, as her arms were so dead. She talked about it all online because she wanted other women going through the same thing to know they weren’t alone.

Emily is also the only one of Jeremy Clarkson’s children who will publicly call out their dad. At that time, Jeremy wrote a controversial column about Meghan Markle, and Emily publicly declared her opposition to everything he had written. That takes guts when your dad’s got millions of fans who’ll come for you in the comments.

Finlo Clarkson Keeps Everything Private

Finlo Clarkson

Finlo Clarkson is 27, and he’s Jeremy’s only son. He was born in March 1997, and good luck finding out much about his life online. No social media. No interviews. Nothing. He’s properly low-key.

What we can say, however, is that he’s passionate about rugby. He’s been seen at games with Jeremy from time to time and apparently resembles his dad very closely. Same build. Same face. But that’s where it ends.

Indeed, we’ve heard hearsay of a Jeremy Clarkson son accident from back in 2018. Finlo was pictured in Barbados with a neck and spinal brace. The Jeremy Clarkson children mother, Frances Cain, kept all the details private.

There were reports that he had keyhole surgery for a high-thoracic injury, but no one really knows what happened. Could’ve been a sports injury. Could’ve been a car accident. Could’ve been something else. The family never explained, and fair enough. It’s their business.

Jeremy mentioned once in a Sunday Times column that going on walks with Finlo left him struggling to catch his breath. That was part of what pushed him to get fitter. But that’s about all we get from him about Finlo.

Katya Clarkson Is Even Quieter

Katya Clarkson

Katya Clarkson is 24, born in November 2000, and she’s somehow even more private than Finlo. She works in photography and marketing. She’s been dating a bloke called Kieran Hiscock for a couple of years. Beyond that, there’s not much to say because she keeps everything to herself.

No podcast. No book. No Instagram fame. Just a normal life with a not-so-normal dad. Sometimes staying out of it is the smartest move.

Their Mum and How the Family Gets On

All three kids are from Jeremy’s marriage to Frances Cain, who was also his manager. They were married in 1993 and divorced in 2014, after 21 years. Frances is the daughter of Robert Henry Cain, who won a Victoria Cross, so she has an interesting family history of her own.

The Jeremy Clarkson children’s relationship with their dad looks good. Emily was the only one who’s actually called him out publicly, so it doesn’t mean they’re not close. Occasionally, she still posts photos of her family. Jeremy was so proud to become a grandad. When Arlo was born, he shared a picture holding her with the caption “The happiest a man can possibly be.”

Then when Xanthe arrived just before Christmas 2024, making him a grandfather of two, he was over the moon again.

For all his loudmouth telly persona, he’s clearly soft when it comes to his grandkids.

What It’s Like Having Jeremy Clarkson as Your Dad

Here’s the interesting bit about Jeremy Clarkson’s children. They’ve all handled the fame differently. Emily’s used it to build her own platform. Finlo and Katya have completely avoided it. But none of them have tried to copy their dad.

Emily talks about feminism and body positivity. Finlo does his sports thing in private. Katya does creative work behind the camera. They’ve not gone into motoring journalism. They’ve not tried to be mini Jeremy Clarkson.

That’s quite something when your dad’s one of the most famous people in Britain. It would’ve been dead easy to just ride those coattails. But they’ve all done their own thing.

Jeremy mentioned recently in a column that his kids had considered not coming back to the UK after a family holiday in Costa Rica. He joked about tax policy and the cost of living, but there was likely an element of truth in it as well. (When your dad’s the subject of tabloid coverage and says controversial stuff, maybe a quiet life abroad is not all that terrible.)

The Reality of It All

Being Jeremy Clarkson’s kid probably isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Yeah, there’s money and opportunities. But there’s also constant tabloid interest and pressure. Your dad says something controversial, and suddenly, you’re getting abuse in your Instagram comments.

Emily Clarkson’s children are part of that now, too. Little Arlo and Xanthe will grow up knowing that Granddad’s famous, and that’ll carry a weird set of baggage with it.

But one thing is clear: all three of Jeremy’s children are simply trying to live normal lives. Emily’s doing her thing in public but on her terms. Finlo and Katya have opted out almost entirely. They’re not chasing fame. They’re just dealing with what has been handed down to them.

And to be honest, that’s probably the healthiest way to look at it. Sometimes, the best thing when you are born into fame is to be yourself and not let it dictate everything. Looks like that’s just what they’re doing.
