Tyler Robinson, a 22-year-old trade school student from Utah, has been arrested in connection with the murder. He was apprehended after his father recognized him in surveillance images and urged him to surrender.
FBI Director Kash Patel confirmed that DNA evidence found at the crime scene matches Robinson. Samples were recovered from a towel wrapped around the rifle used in the shooting and from a screwdriver found on the roof where the sniper was positioned.
