The Celebrity Traitors Series 2 Finale

Who Will Win Celebrity Traitors Series 2? Maya Jama and King Kenny Are the Traitors to Beat

Published on October 30, 2026 by Grace Davis

The Celebrity Traitors Series 2 finale airs tonight, Friday 30 October 2026, at 8 pm on BBC One and iPlayer, and the balance of evidence points to a Traitors win. Maya Jama and King Kenny are the two Traitors still standing, and with only one banishment left before the Fire Pit, the Faithfuls would have to catch both of them in a single round table. That is close to impossible. Expect the prize pot, capped at £100,000 for charity, to go to the turret rather than the faithful.

Tonight’s set-up, In Plain Termsfin

The last episode lands at 8 pm and runs 80 minutes, finishing at 9.20 pm, making it the longest episode in the history of the franchise. An extended edition of The Celebrity Traitors: Uncloaked follows, with Claudia Winkleman and the finalists joining Ed Gamble in front of a studio audience to pick through what just happened.

Seven celebrities walked into the final: James Blunt, King Kenny, Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Maya Jama, Michael Sheen, Romesh Ranganathan and Sebastian Croft. Before any of them reaches the Fire Pit, one more murder takes place — the Traitors were told in the closing seconds of episode nine that they had one killing left, and the show cut away before revealing the name.

The endgame then runs in four stages: a final mission to push the pot towards its £100,000 ceiling, a last round table banishment where the departing player does not reveal whether they were a Traitor or a Faithful, and the Fire Pit vote itself, where players hold green pouches to end the game and red pouches to keep banishing. Everyone has to agree on green. Until they do, the knives stay out.

How the Turret Got This Comfortable

Series 2 has been a strange one. Richard E. Grant outed himself as a Traitor in only the second episode and became the first Traitor in the history of the UK franchise to be caught at the very first round table. That single moment hollowed out the turret, leaving Maya Jama paired with a recruit — James Acaster — who never wanted the cloak at all.

Mathematician Hannah Fry was seduced next and swiftly ousted by the Faithfuls, with King Kenny leading the charge before being recruited himself. Since then, the Faithfuls have been solving the wrong crime. They have hunted for visible guilt in a game where the winning move is to look harmless.

That reached its logical endpoint last week. In a scarecrow-themed challenge, all three Traitors were voted the most trustworthy players in the castle and handed the dagger, which Kenny used for a double vote at the round table. He sent Joanne McNally home. Sharon Rooney, who had survived the previous round table on a tie, was murdered shortly afterwards.

Then came the moment nobody saw coming. James Acaster confessed at the round table — the first time anyone in the show’s history has simply admitted to being a Traitor mid-game. “I was made a traitor without wanting to be,” he said, before the others wrote his name down. Michael Sheen, in full “vengeful daddy” mode, had already worked out that Maya, Kenny and Acaster were in the library on the night Ross Kemp was murdered in plain sight.

Who is Left And Who Can Actually Win

Finalist Role going in Position
Maya Jama Traitor Never seriously suspected until last week
King Kenny Traitor Trusted enough to lead the hunt for Fry
Michael Sheen Faithful Closest to the truth
Leigh-Anne Pinnock Faithful Sharpest reader of the table
Romesh Ranganathan Faithful Named Maya last week
James Blunt Faithful Loud, often wrong
Sebastian Croft Faithful Flagged Maya as “Olympic-level gliding”

The numbers are brutal for the Faithfuls. Assuming one murder tonight leaves six players at the Fire Pit, two of those six are Traitors. One banishment cannot remove both. Even a perfect round table — the Faithfuls finally landing on Maya — leaves Kenny sitting there with a clean face and a story about how he was the one who caught Hannah Fry. Good Housekeeping’s read is blunt: a Traitors win is on the cards, and the most likely pairing is Maya and Kenny, because Maya is “seemingly untouchable”.

Maya’s escape route is already open. She has spent ten episodes gliding, and the one person who properly clocked it, Sebastian Croft, described her suspicion as “one of the greatest gliders in the game. Maybe Olympic-level gliding.” Flattery is not a banishment.

The Faithfuls’ Only Realistic Path

There is a version where this goes wrong for the turret, and it needs three things to line up. First, Michael Sheen has to convert his suspicion into votes rather than speeches — he told Maya to her face that she could be “a brilliant traitor” and that she and Kenny as a pair would be “amazing,” which was either a warning shot or the moment he lost the room. Second, Leigh-Anne Pinnock has to be believed when she raises Acaster-style theories early rather than late. Third, Romesh has to keep his nerve after already naming Maya once.

And there is a darker possibility the audience should brace for: a Faithful banishment that nobody can verify. Because the final round table does not reveal roles, the group can walk to the Fire Pit genuinely believing they have cleaned house when they have not. That is exactly how series 1 collapsed for the Faithfuls. Cat Burns, a Traitor, was banished in what looked like a winning move — and then Alan Carr survived to take £87,500 for Neuroblastoma UK.

What Tonight Means Beyond The Castle

The ratings say this series is the biggest thing on British television. The launch episode drew 15.41 million viewers over seven days on BARB, the highest seven-day rating in the franchise’s history and the most-watched UK programme of 2026, beating the 14.94 million who watched last year’s finale. The BBC’s own seven-day figure was 15.7 million, with 58% of that watching on iPlayer and 3.1 million aged 16 to 34.

Critics have not been quite so kind. The Hollywood Reporter argued the season has felt flatter than series 1 precisely because the turret lost its “Big Dog” when Grant self-destructed, leaving Jama visibly exasperated by Acaster’s conscience. Still, Ross Kemp — murdered in plain sight and still aggrieved about it — is backing the Faithfuls. “Always the Faithful,” he told GB News.

Prediction: Maya Jama and King Kenny survive the Fire Pit and share the pot. A third celebrity series is already being planned, with the civilian version expected back in January 2027.
