Later, Ben tells Kevin Webster that police still have no leads. Someone nearby is listening. Guilt takes over, and that person comes forward with a confession.

Carl Webster is Questioned by Police
Carl claims he helped Eva tidy up because she was unwell, then left. Debbie plans to buy her flowers and is stunned when Carl pulls out a wallet stuffed with cash.

The next day she arrives with a huge bouquet she says her date sent. Mary Taylor lets slip that Jodie bought them herself, and David reveals the date was cancelled hours earlier.
Then it turns dark as Jodie swaps Doug’s antipsychotic medication for painkillers. He grows suspicious of the radio and shoves it in a cupboard. When he says he can hear static, Jodie turns the volume up and pretends she cannot hear it. Lily Platt also accuses Shona of putting Harper first.
Sam Blakeman Drops a £6,000 Bombshell
Hope Dobbs tells Nick Tilsley and Toyah Battersby that Sam has been acting oddly. They push him to open up, and he finally breaks down.
Sam admits he has been trading cryptocurrency using Nick’s identity. Worse, he took out a credit card in his dad’s name and racked up more than £6,000 of debt. Nick, Toyah and Leanne Battersby are all reeling. Nick admits he will struggle to clear it, and Idris Nazir overhears every word.
Lucy Parkinson Causes Fresh Worry for the Metcalfes
A hungover Lucy apologises to Tim Metcalfe and swears it will not happen. Over the fence, Tim tells Lisa Connor-Swain that Richie Parkinson once pressured him into telling police Rachel had abused him. He fears Richie is now leaning on Lucy the same way, and she hears the lot.

Sally and Lucy pop in to order Rachel’s plaque with photo albums. Christina claims another client is due and ushers them out.
